Questo post è la continuazione di quello da me pubblicato il 26/02/2015 dedicato al matrimonio Shabby Chic. Ricordo solo per chi non avesse tempo di andar a rileggere il post la definizione di Shabby Chic: letteralmente ‘shabby’,  significa  ‘logoro, consunto, trasandato’ ma aggiungendo la parola ‘chic’ assume tutto un altro sapore: shabby-chic, la tendenza del momento per lo stile del matrimonio, per arredare la casa, ma anche i ristoranti, i luoghi da cerimonia, ed in generale gli eventi glamour. Ma andiamo un po’ più nello specifico… Shabby-chic è uno stile dal sapore antico, vissuto, old-fashioned, in cui le tracce del tempo non sono necessariamente autentiche, ma ben simulate e create appositamente (un vintage artefatto). Al vintage si aggiungono connotati estetici  dal sapore country, come ad esempio lo stile provenzale e il gusto che potete trovare in un cottage british: la casa di campagna inglese si può definire l’emblema dello stile shabby, con il suo romantico tradizionalismo. Potete utilizzare bottiglie di bibite o vino vecchio aggiungendo dei piccoli dettagli romantici come fiori in colore tenui  e pizzi etc. Ma anche candele, tessuti floreali, cartelli in legno, lampadari, lampade, credenze, sedie e tavoli in legno con aspetto rustico e patine superficiali in vernice sfumata etc. Altri dettagli caratteristici che rendono i saloni del vostro matrimonio autentici scenari d'epoca possono essere le vecchie macchine da scrivere, i libri, le valigie consumate o stoviglie dipinte, piatti con stampe floreali, etc. Potete creare un angolo speciale con le vecchie foto di famiglia, tra cui fotografie di matrimonio dei genitori e / o nonni, facendo alcune stampe da regalare ai vostri familiari.  Il top e’ una location all’aperto come ad esempio tra gli alberi di un bosco secolare.  Per i vostri  tavoli potete ispirarvi ai modelli da thè all’inglese, con i piedi in ferro battuto e arricciati e il piano in vetro. Niente mobili squadrati e angoli retti, ma curve e  piccoli riccioli. Le sedie naturalmente si devono intonare: anche qui, il ferro battuto oppure il legno sono le opzioni, nessun’altro materiale è ‘ammesso’, con rivestimento della seduta sui toni del rosa. Per quanto riguarda il vestito da sposa, forse le  spose più moderne possono essere spaventate e rifiutare l'idea, ma lo stile più gettonato è quello che riporta al tradizionalismo, ovvero un modello di abito stile anni 40. Ciò che più spicca sono le lunghe maniche, senza collo, velo lungo e coroncina. L’esempio più lampante di abito Shabby Chic è quello indossato dalla principessa Kate Middleton. Non è stupendo?
